Seven Sisters
Well technically they are in Citrus Heights, but they are literally across the street from Roseville. Twenty five feet does not count for food this good! They make their own pasta, bread, pizza dough, mozzarella, and many other ingredients right there in the restaurant. They use fresh, organic ingredients. They offer a gluten free menu that’s just amazing, the bread and dough are the best wheat free I’ve ever had. They have great pizza, and the Chicken Parmesan is my personal favorite. Many of their customers will pick up meals to freeze at home that they will package nicely for you. The owners are from New Jersey, and they are characters with a serious passion for good food. I promise you can tell the quality is better than anything in the area. Other companies are constantly trying to figure out their recipes! This place is a must try – a guaranteed excellent meal!

The Place
The (Italian) Place has great traditional food and a nice atmosphere. The paninis are very popular there, and the wood fired pizza is delicious. They use very traditional and fresh ingredients. Go and enjoy a great dinner and relax with red wine and jazz piano and accordion every Friday and Saturday from 5:00-9:00pm for good free entertainment. Nice little date night out place!

Il Forniao
This is an excellent Italian restaurant with a relaxing and romantic ambience. Great place to have a date night out. Their menu is extensive, and they even have great gluten free choices. Good bread with olive oil and vinegar, awesome appetizer choices, and flavorful meats. The restaurant is located just outside of the Galleria mall, which makes a nice after dinner stroll (plus there’s a gelato place close by).

Vaiano Trattoria
This restaurant is in Granite Bay, and is a really lovely Italian place on Douglas Boulevard just over the Roseville border. They have a delicious menu with choices for everyone including pasta, pizza, soups, salads, and a nice wine list too. The husband and wife owner team take great pride in their authentic food, and it really shows. They have a nice outdoor patio as well. A lovely restaurant with delicious food.

Romano’s Macaroni Grill
If you haven’t been here yet, you should definitely check it out. I have never been disappointed with a meal here. I recommend the Lobster Ravioli, which is fabulous, or the Chicken and Mushroom Cannelloni. For those wanting to keep the calories down, they have a “Lite” menu featuring yummy options such a as Pollo Caprese and a Warm Spinach and Scallop Salad (my wife’s favorite). They have great Kids Menu, and all the tables are lined with paper and crayons to keep little ones (and adults) busy. Nice atmosphere with great food and service.
