Paul Martin’s American Grill
Paul Martin’s is a unique spot for California fare – their motto is “seasonal and delicious”, and it lives up to it! This American bistro offers some of the best seafood from sustainable fisheries, free-range and natural meats and poultry, artisan cheeses and cured meats. Great cocktails, beers and over 100 wines served by the glass. The decor is as rich and sumptuous as the offerings – it feels like you’re sitting in a lush wine cellar. One of the many things that makes this place great is the entertainment during the summer. The place is upscale casual, so you can either wear a shirt and tie or t-shirt and jeans here and you will fit in either way. One of my favorite restaurants in town; a great place for business lunches to date nights.

La Provence
La Provence is a unique California style French restaurant in an unexpected place. A hidden gem! It is in the Crocker Ranch neighborhood, in a gorgeous locale surrounded by mature oak trees. It is a beautiful place with nice outside dining as well. During the summer they have live music and often will do s’mores at night. Great wine list and a wine store right next door. Great seasonal food, and if you want to go for a stroll after dinner it is right next to walking trails and a park. The menu changes regularly. Try the special chef’s menu!

Enjoy wine country cuisine at this wine bar and restaurant, and take your pick from over 200 varieties of wine poured there. The fireplaces, romantic ambience, and lush interior make it a great date night go-to. The servers are knowledgeable and very helpful. I love their Lamb Lollipops, Snap Crackle Salmon, and Kobe Beef Bacon and Avocado Burger. A nice place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Suede Blue
What makes Suede Blue unique is the people it attracts. This seafood and steak joint is a nice place to meet friends to enjoy the outdoor fire pits in comfortable chairs with a drink or go inside and enjoy a great dinner. The atmosphere is cool, laid back, and jazzy–and so is the decor. Try the Duckroll Appetizers or the French Onion soup, they are both amazing. One of the best things they are known for is their lobster macaroni and cheese. A must taste!

Ruth’s Chris Steak House
Ruth’s Chris by the Galleria Mall is a nice place to have a great steak and drinks, and it’s a very good choice for business lunches. Some of their best dishes are the Chilean sea bass, New Orleans style barbecued shrimp, the Caribbean lobster, and the petite filet. They use very high quality beef and know steaks well.
