This is by far my number one pick for great lunch food!
This is the best chicken teriyaki you will ever have, as well as other great Japanese and Hawaiian Influenced choices. During lunchtime order beforehand since they get so busy–try to go between 11:00 and 12:00 or 1:30 to 5:00. The owners are Kristy and Juan and have been in business for 17 years, and are very friendly. You will notice a lot of the clientele are City of Roseville employees from the badges, lots of regulars. This food is amazing! I have my own special there–if you like a little spicy, go in and ask for a Peter Special. It is the most amazing Bento Box complete with spicy teriyaki chicken with extra veggies and brown rice, two dumplings, three pieces of spicy tuna, and cucumber salad. You can see Juan making the food right in front of you. Do not be shy to order it how you want. You can get really good microwavable bowls made up to keep in the freezer for quick lunches for only $3.00. They are also known for authentic Hawaiian shaved ice.

Ninja Sushi and Teriyaki
Everything we’ve had here is excellent. From their Miso soup, to the Big Toddy, to the Flaming Dragon. They always seem to give out free appetizers or desserts too. Steve, the owner, visits the tables, and is very involved in creating and overseeing the amazing dishes. All the staff are fantastic, friendly and make you feel welcome. They have TV’s, and outdoor seating as well. Delicious sushi at a great price.

Sakura Japanese Bistro and Bar
This is a fairly new Japanese restaurant in our area. It’s beautiful and very clean when you walk in. They have Happy Hour Mon-Thurs from 5-7pm, with half off pints and house rolls. I really enjoyed their Sashimi and the Chicken Teriyaki was delicious. They have fast and friendly customer service. I also like their outdoor seating area. Yummy place to check out if you’ve got sushi on the brain.

Mikuni Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar
Mikuni is the place to go if you love sushi. They have a large variety on the menu and boast over 100 varieties of sushi rolls. They also have an awesome Happy Hour menu, and even Gluten Free and Lite choices. Some of my favorite dishes here have been the Zig Zag Shrimp hand roll, and Vegetable Tempura. Great place to check out when you are craving some fantastic sushi! They also have an events calendar and seem to have something fun going on most of the time.

Blue Nami Sushi Restaurant
This is one of the best sushi places in Roseville. They have a wide selection and everything is fresh and delicious. Highlights include Vegetable Tempura, Seared Ahi, and any of their specialty rolls are fabulous. And if you have any room left for dessert, the green tea cheesecake is delicious. The inside of the restaurant is quite lively and loud. They have a nice outdoor patio if you prefer a quieter atmosphere. An excellent choice for sushi in Roseville.
